Thanks for your reply. I have thought of that also, however I have not found that connecting link between Henry A Burrell's birth in New York in 1812 and Scotland itself. Also I am finding out that the further back one goes the harder it is to find any records of any sort that would lend itself to such knowledge. Most of the time I have found out that someone else has completed the research like yourself or it is "beginner's luck". As much as I would luv to accept the Henry Birrell of Scotland as Henry A.'s Father, there is just no connecting record of any kind to base that conclusion on.
