A copy of Milton's death certif should have his parents names listed, single/married/divorced and the informant's signature could be important as well and lead you to knew info...

With an obituary you would learn about surviving family members, spouse, siblings,....where you mentioned?

A copy of his SS application would tell you where he was born, his parents names, where he was applying for work at a specific time period.

You stated your were looking for info on him, but did not state what info you already had. So I went on Ancestry trees after posting the info to you and discovered you had a lot of connecting families..

I appreciate your reply, but I'm not quite following you on the information in your reply. Your reply appears to point to the information on the Waits Family Tree. If that's correct, that information was simply duplicated from my own family tree and does not represent any new information to connect directly back to my father.

As for a copy of the death certificate, I have a copy for the individual listed as having died in 9/80. That information is available through ancestry.com. As for a copy of the SSN information, I'm not sure what having that information would accomplish. The death certificate lists his SSN already.

What I'm missing is information linking me directly to this individual.

Milton Perry Burton

I'm looking for any information on my biological father, Milton Perry Burton. I have very little information to work from. Full name, year of birth, 1919, and a few known locations of where he lived over the years, Richmond, VA, and Winston-Salem, NC. I heard stories he had also been in the service. But dates and service related information aren't available. That's about it.

I've found a few references in the ancestry.com listings, but nothing that definitively connects him directly to those particular records.

If anyone has any information they would like to share, I would be extremely thankful.

This is just a one page research log of where she looked. It's probably not very helpful at all, truthfull, as there are only 2 names James b 1912 and John b in 1907. I have no idea who she was looking for. I probably shouldn't even have listed this item as now that I look at it, it's not useful.

My Burton line was centered in Philadelphia for generations. However,I don't know of any connection with Cecelia. Is there any chance you could tell me a couple of the Burton's mentioned in the research? I wouldn't want to accidentally ask for this only to find that it would have been helpful to someone else. Uncle Harry sounds nice! I haven't heard anything much on my Burton line so this is Very neat!! What is your name by the way? In 1953 or so, did you happen to take a picture? Do you have a tree posted online? I just found one on here that list all the info you listed, so it has all started!! My grandfather Burton is said to have a family tree of the Burtons, maybe one day I will get my hand on that tree and get some more questions answered..

What else you you know about Harry Jr, my grandfather and the Burton's that dec. from him don't know anything because Harry Jr. wasn't in their lives for long....

Hi John, The WWI and WWII draft registration cards for Harry Tudor Burton (Jr.) are available. I found them at Ancestry.com under Military records. My Dad took me to meet his Uncle Harry in 1953 or '54 and he is listed as surviving my grandmother in her obituary from the Washington Post dated both 16th and 17th of January 1962. So, no, he did not die very young. His father, however, with the same name, did die in his thirties. Probably about 1911-1912. I have not found the actual record. And his father before him, Richard Alfred Burton, died at thirty-four. I will let you know if I find more.

George's parents were Thomas Burton and Lydia Maria Roach. I believe George was born in Nova Scotia. He had a brother Charles and a brother, William. His mother was born in Annapolis County and his father was from England.

Burton family in Maldon Essex

I am trying to build a family tree for my cousin who has Multiple Sclerosis, so she cannot do any research herself.
She was the daughter of Leonard james Burton(known as Jim) and Grace Burton, both of whom are now deceased. I believe Leonard's parents may have been Arthur Burton and May Easter. This generation were all born and lived in Maldon Essex and they may have connections with a Burton family in Halstead.
My cousin has a Burton photo album but she has no idea who the individuals are. The photographs go back to around 1891 and she would like to share them with any surviving relatives.

I'm seeking ANY information about Elizabeth Burton. She is my great great grandmother. Elizabeth was born in 1831 in Dublin, Ireland. Her father is Thomas Burton. Thomas was a baker.

In 1860, Elizabeth married former convict John Watson Rutherford. They had 10 children.

I'm interested to find out when Elizabeth migrated to Western Australia. Did she come on her own, or did she travel with a group of friends or with her family?

Elizbeth died on 19th November 1920 aged 89 years.

I don't know anything about Elizabeth and the Burton family other than information that I have discovered through reading a post on the Rootsweb Message Board. When I sent an email to the lady I found that, unfortunately, her email address is no longer valid. My family and I would very much appreciate ANY information about Elizabeth and her family.

William burton was born 08 sept 1845 in Burtons, Hants County Nova Scotia. He died in the same place 12 May 1909. His parents were Walter Burton B-31 Oct 1811 and D-01 May 1898, mother Matilda Hennigar B- 19 Sept 1823 in Upper Kennetcook, Hants County, NS, D_ 29 Aug 1854 in Upper Kennetcook. They had 11 children.

Is this the John Pleasants Burton who was a colonel? Born 1758 in VA? Married to Susannah Stamper? He was my 4th great grandfather. His son Alexander moved to Indiana, and died in Clay Co, IL.
