Hello,
Not sure if you've figured this out yet, but just in case...
This George is probably the son of John Andrew Bushong and Feraby White, determined by names, dates, and proximity.
1. George was born in the same place as Andrew and Feraby's other children.
2. He is buried five miles away from Andrew and Feraby.
3. His date of birth fits with his siblings - Andrews and Ferabys children.
4.. He is named after his Grandfather.
5. He named his daughter Ferbia, so close to the unusual name of his mother, Feraby.
6. He named another daughter Martha after his Grandmother.
7. His daughter, Permilia married a Asbury White, most likely a cousin from his mother Feraby White.
8. In the 1870 census, he is a living a few doors away from his first cousin Jacob, son of an Uncle George Bushong (b 1807) and Nancy Parker.
9. In 1880 census states correctly father and mother born in Virginia.
With the geography, date, and name similiarities, John Andrew and Feraby Bushong are the most likely parents for this George W Bushong. But it should still be vetted.
Sincerely,
Rick Bushong
