Our grandfather was Jessie C. Bushong; b 14 Dec 1905 Metcalfe Co KY; d Apr 1981 Montgomery Co IN.

We have found online that his parents were John L. Bushong and Victoria Howard. (John L. Bushong; b 19 Jan 1866 KY; d 14 Nov 1950. -- Victoria Howard; b 27 Jul 1871 KY; d 29 Jan 1947 Metcalfe Co KY.)

What is very confusing, is where to go from there. Is it correct that George Washington Bushong and Nancy T. Bryant were the parents of John L.? (We found reference to George Washington Bushong; b 08 Jan 1822 KY; d 18 Apr 1898 -- Nancy T. Bryant; b 10 Mar 1825 Cumberland Co KY; d 13 Aug 1911 Monroe Co KY.) This seems to be a different George Washington Bushong than the one we see referred to frequently, so who were his parents?

We've been up against a dead-end for a very long time on this part of our family tree. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
