I am unsure the relation (I assume maybe Eliza is a sister or cousin to my great great grandfater Israel Bussert. When Israel was a teen he lived with Eliza. Then in the 1880's there was an Ida Bussert that lived with Eliza as well. I do not know parents name yet. It has been a work in progress.

More info on these photos:

We have found that there are actually 2 Lloyd Busserts with very similar genealogical details. The one featured in the photos I have is from Hammond Lake, Indiana, had a wife named Anna and a son named Keith, and worked as in insurance salesman.

I hope this helps!
Paula

I have much information on this family. Catherine (Helm)
Bussert, the mother of John Allen Bussert of Macomb, is
of my Helm family. Catherine (1794-1849) was a daughter
of Jacob Helm, born at Gammelsbach, Germany in 1758.
I will be glad to share information with any interested
descendants of William and Catharine (Helm) Bussard.
The name is Bussard in many early Ohio records, including
Catharine's tombstone in Imler Cemetery of Pickaway County,
but some of the children preferred Bussert to Bussard. It is
also written as Buzzard.

This is written in response to your query send today at 11:32AM. My question concerned Louise BOLEY Bussert. My childhood memories of Aunt Louise are that she lived in Revenge and was married to a Bussert. I don't remember her husband as it seemed he was always at work whenever we visited, which was not very often after her twin sister (Lucille) passed away in the early sixties. I was curious about her past, and the name of the cemetery where she was put to rest. Any info you might have on Aunt Louise would be appreciated. Thanks, Cindy

Hi. I am a cousin of P Busard Saulino and am trying to contact anyone who knows about the Busard family from Fort Madison - Iowa. Unfortunately, my cousin has passed and I am trying to continue the search of our family tree. I know some of our relatives are from Hot Springs, Va. as well. We are related to John Wesley Busard, a Civil War soldier who received a foot injury in the war. Any thoughts?

I'm also searching for Bussert information. My father's folks were from Golden, Colorado. There was an older son, Hubert M. or N. who died in WWII, my father, a sister, Shirley Bussert and the youngest boy, Wilbur Clyde Busssert. Although their parnts, (Elizabeth and ?)lived in Colorado all their lives, their parents or grandparents moved to Colorado in a covered wagon in the mid 1800s. They were from either PA or OH or somewhere around there. I don't know much more than that. Does anything I've mentioned sound at all familiar?

My grandfather was George Emil Bussert (born May 9, 1891)and he married Emma Augusta Borrusch (born 1891). Around 1948/1949 my mother remembers going to Ohio for Bussert family reunions with her future husband, Earl Herman Bussert, and his sisters/brother; June, Leona and Milton.

I know I'm related to the Bussert's of Ohio, but just haven't found the connection yet. Can you help?

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. The only information I have is that my mother remembers going to the one and only Bussert family reunion in Ohio (she says Sugar Creek/Allen County sounds familiar) in either 1946 or 1947.

I've watched the notes from everyone and I believe that the information from Geraldine Evans and some of the others reflects my family, but I can't find the connection yet. I'm still really a novice so I have alot of basics to search through. My great grandfather was William Bussert who married Sophia Grafnitz. The 1920 census shows my grandfather, George Emil Bussert, and my grandmother, Emma Augusta Borrusch, living in Detroit, MI and being born there. It says that Sophia Grafnitz was born in Germany. There is no mention of William.

Let me know if anything strikes a bell. Diane

My grandmother, Cora Alice (Manley) Lynn had some photos of a couple named Ray & Dollie Bussert. I have no idea who this couple is in connection with my decreased Grandmother. Cora married a Thomas Jefferson Lynn in Mo.and this marriage ended in divorce. However, Cora remained VERY close to the LYNN side of the family right up to her death in 1948. These are wonderful photos and I would love to share them with the correct family relation and obtain more information also. Please E- mail me directly at garrlentini1@aol.com and I could scan the photos to you if you would like. Thank you.

Sincerey,
Rebecca Garrlentini

Al,

Thanks for the information. There could be a connectiion, but I have so little information. My Harry originally married Mary Ellen Bussert and had three children. She died around 1903 or 1904 and Harry moved and remarried. When he was married to Mary, he had Hartman relatives living in or around Amanda, ClearCreek or Sugar grove in Fairfield County, Madison Township. The Hartmans had a grocery around Clearport which is still standing. Harry was possibly the brother of the man who build the Hartman Theatre Building in Columbus Ohio. Where is Allen County in relationship to Columbus?
Response to Marilyn Staldine Re:Amos Bussert:
Are you referring to Amos of Sugar Creek Township, B:1833, D:1921? This Amos was son of Peter and Catharine. Amos siblings: Salem, Augustes, Olive Elizabeth, John, William, Daniel, Charles, Loren, Bascom and Milton Ambrose. Amos died in Rochester, Indiana. I am interested in tracing ancestors of Peter, Amos' father, born about 1785, I believe in Maryland. He died in 1867 in Allen County, Sugar Creek Township (S.C. Township was formily part of Putnam County. I am grandson of Milton Ambrose. Am interested in your report of Andreas Bussert of Bavaria and landing in Baltimore in 1749.
