ELTON O. BUTLER

BAXLEY - Elton O. Butler, 82, died early Saturday morning in the Duncan Memorial Hospital in Hazlehurst after a long illness.

A resident of Appling County for 54 years, he was a member of the Crosby Chapel Methodist Church where he was a steward.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Grace Williard of Ocilla, Mrs. Inez Baxley of Baxley and Mrs. Ruth Weeks of Macon; two sons, S.E. Butler of Taylor Center, Mich., and James T Butler of Amarillo, Tex.; two brothers Sam Butler of Decatur and Ezra Butler of Baxley; a sister Mrs. Flora Black of Baxley; Nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Strickland Funeral Home of Baxley is in charge.
