My name is Lacina Allen. My mother's maiden name is Butts. Her father's name is Willis Butts Jr. He is from out of Atlanta Georgia, but moved to Des Moines Iowa in 1907. My grandfather is now deceased and we would like to find out more about his relatives. There are no surviving relatives. My grandfather was named after his father and his mother's name is Roberta. I only know that she was half American Indian. My great grandfather died at an early age from black lung. He was only 35 years old. Does anyone know if there is a Butts plantation in Atlanta Georgia? If so, where in Atlanta would I be able to find it. I believe that some of my relatives could have been slaves on that plantation.
