I have seen Abraham Butz on several family trees listed as the son of Philip Jacob Butz. His date of birth is shown as 17 Jul 1792, Date of Marriage to Margaret Hoff as 13 Nov 1813, and his date of death as 21 Mar 1855 (sometimes place of death is shown as NJ and sometimes Illinois.

I am interested in the sources for these dates and information regarding exactly where he did die. I checked Warren Co, NJ, death records for 1855 and could not find him. Have no idea where to start looking for a death record for 1855 in Illinois.

I have been unable to find him on the 1850 census and could use some help. Any information would be appreciated!
