Thanks for introducing me to Shirley. I purchased her book and it is wonderful. She is joining a group of Boice (Buys) cousins and all of us are researching the Buys/Buijs name and are working together at a MyFamily Web Site. We hope to share information and pictures and help each other. My great-grandmother was Catherine Jane Boice married to Jacob Runkel, a Civil War Soldier. The line goes back to New Amsterdam and the Dutch Reformed Church. We want to solve the riddle of which person was the original immigrant, Jan thyssen Buys or Aret Pietersen Buys.
