My ggrandmother, Julia Emma Byassee (7/17/1882-8/02/1965)
came from the Lynchburg area before moving to the Washington, D.C. area and marrying Thomas Jefferson Mutchler in 1902. Her father was Thomas W. Byassee and her mother was Julia Alice Terry ( I think). They had several children some of whom were Mary (husband-?+Shilby), Janie, Scott, and Edgar (wife-Lucy Robinson). I have information about some of them. Thomas W. Byassee was in the confederate army and was buried in Arlington Cemetery. His wife died when the children were young. I have not been able to find out any information about their lives in Southern Va. Any one able to help?
