Hi Jenny

I hope you get this message as it's been a long while since you logged on to ancestry.co.uk.

My grandmother, Hilda Byerley, was one of George Alexxander Byerley's daughters. So, Christiana Byerley was my great great grandmother.

If you have any information or photos of the family, I'd be very interested in seeing them.

Regards
Alan Fitz-Patrick

Ella Louise Tomlinson (nee: Grace) married M. Elvin Byerley (b. 1859-1918) - children of Ella and Elvin - Samuel and Theodore M. Byerley. In 1917 my grandmother Louise Brown (b. 1906) went across the border from Canada to visit an uncle N.H. Byerley in Great Falls Montana. Byerley family in Grinnell, Iowa in 1895 and may have known the Tomlinsons. Trying to get a handle on N.H. Byerley (b.1859 - 1918) . Thanks.

Hello,
I am Barbara Ann's granddaughter. Hershel is her biological father. Margaret P is her biological mother. Hershel left Barbara when she was 2 years old in 1932. Her mother told the children he had died. Yes I did say children. Hershel had another child, a son actually. His name is Harold. Hershel left the year Harold was born. I have found that there is another son of his. I belive his name is William. I do not know anything about William. Infact my grandmother doesn't even know about him. Now back to Hershel. I do know that he passed away in the late 1970's. Before he died he came to visit my grandmother for the first time since he had left them. I do not ask my grandmother what was said. It is a very sore subject with her. I do know he is buried in Arizona in the Calvalry Cemetery.

I hope this inofrmation has helped. If you have any photos or other information, I would love to know. I have been wondering much about him ever since I knew about him.

Thank you so very much,

ejones1425

That went on here too, using 'Byerley' as a first given name & also second given name. Can you send me your Hunter family info. Guessing you still have my email address.

I'm pretty sure the James M Byerley you're referring to is my great, great grandfather, James Milroy Byerley. If you're interested, I can send you pedigree or you can look at my GED file here at rootsweb: fast in OK.

James was married to Georgia Anna Geddes and they had 6 sons: Charley, James Jr, Ross Eddy, Leo, Fred and Harry. Georgia died then and James married a woman we know only as "Mary." That marriage ended and he married Nina Mae Laird and they had two daughters, Georgia Ann and Margaret Elizabeth.

My grandfather wrote a bit about this family, which I can send you if you contact me off site.

I may have some information to share. My grandmother was a Buirley, though have seen numerous other spellings. I have a William S. Buirley: B: 1774 in PA D: 1876 ?, married to Elizabeth Kiser B: 10/7/1787 DL 1878. They together had: John, Polly, Frances, Daniel Kiser (my line) Pracilla, Kathryn, William Scott: 12/6/1829 in Shelby Co., OH D: 3/20/1874 in Shelby Co., OH., Richard, Miller, Thomas K. and Peter Isaac. I have no information that they returned to Pennsylvania. She had William Scott marrying: Elizabeth Ann Bennett and a Mary Ann Willis Potts, but no Hardesty.

I inherited Gran's books upon her death at age 95. She started her genealogy in the late 1950's, so you can imagine how much information there is.

Hello all,

Not sure what the difference is of the spelling, Byerley vs. Byerly, but I thought I'd post this here as well as the Byerly forum.

I have a bunch of photos of Melville Byerly and his family in Nebraska (wife Netie, children Beulah, Dolly, Forest, William). Some of them are really stunning, showing their farm and there's one of Melville that is a personal favorite of mine. These are from around 1930.

I'd be happy to offer digital copies to anyone. I'd also be happy to hear some additional information about this family.

cheers, Katy

We show that Hershel was born in Missouri in 1909. You had sent a message to Patty Lambeth a couple of years ago requesting information, but she just sent this to us two days ago. Please respond, as we are searching for Hershel, my husband has never met his father and would like to know if he is still alive.
