Our grandpa used this name for different seasons in his life. We know he had several families in different cities. We just met my half uncle for the 1st time this fall and his name was Leon. We live in the triad area.

Hi Debra,I saw you on the message board. Do you know any thing about Thomas C.Byerly & Matilda Haygood.They are my geat grandparents. I think he divorce her and left her with all of those children 11.They lived in Newton Texas.

I am related as mentioned to the PA Byerly's and not the same family as casper Byerly. I have not found any links to them have you? Different ships and date for arrival to Philadelphia.

GRANVILLE: A private graveside service was held for Edna Eileen Skivington, 90, of Granville, Ohio at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville.

Eileen died Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Odyssey Hopsice in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born January 28, 1921 in Athens, Ohio to the late Howard and Ardith Hendershot Byerly.

A member of First Presbyterian Church in Granville, Eileen taught Sunday School and was the church's secretary for 25 years. She was a life-long artist working with oils to create landscapes and covered bridges.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Keith L. and Jacki Skivington of West Palm Beach, FL; grandsons, Joshua, Joel, and Jerry Skivington; and great-grandchildren, Annie, Victoria, Gage, and Jolie Skivington.

In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her daughters, Kimberly Ann Skivington and Kay Lynn Skivington; brother, Paul Byerly; and sister, Jean Henderly.

Arrangements are in the care of McPEEK-HOEKSTRA FUNERAL HOME in Granville.
To ensure family receipt, please express all online condolences at www.mcpeekhoekstra.com.

We had corresponded a while ago (August 7, 2004) regarding Ursula Wolfe that married Paul Byerly. You had mentioned that you had the marriage certificate that was about 2 pages long that mentioned witness and etc. I would love to know about it!! Looking forward to hearing from you!

I do not have photos of Paul and Ursula, but I am working hard to find all of the living descendants to see whom might have any. I have the Wolfe info, you previously sent that to my parents, mom is a Byerly.

Hi, again. I wrote a couple of years ago, and want to thank you for responding, and apologize for not doing so earlier. Regarding William Byerly, I am trying to find a link between him and my ancestor, Noah Byerly, who was born around the same time and lived in Miami County, Ohio. Noah died about 1825, after marrying Martha Rudy in 1818, and fathering 3 children.
Do you have any information on William's siblings or his parents? Were they perhaps German Baptists? Any leads will be appreciated.

Noah Byerly and Martha Rudy in Ohio

Noah Byerly (b.1797) married Martha Rudy (b.abt 1802)in 1818 in Miami Co, Ohio. They had at least one daughter, Sarah, born in 1819 in Ohio. Noah died by abt 1826, and his widow married John Coates. Does anyone have any information on any other children of Noah and Martha? Has anyone found the parents of Noah Byerly or Martha Rudy?
I would appreciate any insight on where to look. I have information on Sarah Byerly I can share.
