Do you have much information on they Byne man? Do you know where in the UK he came from? My great grandma lived in Kent/London way, so I think he lived there too. I am 31 so a bit older than you! Any info you have wpuld help. Thanks.

Hi there, I am a direct Byne descendent from New Zealand. So far have traced my family tree up to 1836, think your man might be my great great great grandfather, I am only 19 so indeed possible. William Byne b 1836 was a blacksmith, married Phoebe White in 1861. Would be interesting story if was related to your ancestor! Hope ive helped

Hi there, I am a direct descendent also seeking information. I can tell you that William Byne b 1836 actually had 12 children with Phoebe, then thier eldest boy,also William Frederick Byne,b 1862 had 7 children.
I have a basic family tree drawn up with names, births,deaths and marriages descending from William, but would love to know any info preceding him.

If you know of a male-line descendant of the Anonymous Byne of KENT---perhaps they could take a Y-DNA 67 test at www.ftdna.com
It does cost US$ 268
--but it ought to provide some good clues.

Hello, There is a mystery Byne male in my family history I don't know his name sadly. He got my great grandma Emma Elizabeth Carter pregnant, and then sent away (to Australia maybe?) His name wasn't on the birth cert of my grandma, so I have nothing much to go on. They lived in Kent. Anyone have any clues??!

Margaret Byne born c1794 in Forfar married in 1818 in Forfar to Alexander Strachan born 1786 in Buddon, Forfar, Scotland the daughter of Alexander Strachan and Grizell Scott.
They had at least ten children :- Grace 1818, Alexander 1819, janet 1821, John 1823, James 1824, William 1826, Agnes 1828, Margaret 1831, Elliott 1832 and Isobel 1835.
Any connection?

John Calhoun Raborn (b. 12-7-1878) married Anna Bynes (b.5-28-1875) and they had three children: Maggie Pearl Raborn, Mamie Cebelle Raborn, and John Rogers Raborn. Anna died (d. 5-15-1903) from complications in childbirth to John Rogers Raborn (b. 5-11-1903). He died (d. 5-17-1903) two days after his mother.
