I am seeking information on Mary Byrn, born in New York June 1856 of unknown parents, who were both born in Ireland. Mary married William James Cisler, a meat merchant born in Marietta, Ohio. The couple lived in Columbus, Ohio, and raised 3 sons. Mary was my great grandmother; she died in 1932.

(I loved visiting Uncle Bob & Aunt Alta at their farm.)

I'm particularly interested in learning more about TCB's mother Marinda Harrison. I know she went to Missouri from Indiana and is a direct descendant of a signer of the Declaration of Independence, Benjamin Harrison.

More information. There is definitely a connection. My grandfather, Thomas McGrath (b. 1870) in Johnstown,Pa. married Mary Ann Kelly (b. 1`/24/1870 in Scotland). I have a copy of her birth registry and her parents were James Kelly and Mary Boyd who married in Glasgow, Scotland on 10/20/1866. I also have a copy of the marriage registry. It appears that if David McGrath (b. 1872 in Johnstown) married a Catherine Kelly, David and Thomas were brothers and married sisters.

Somehow we are distantly related and share a family line at least on the McGrath side and possibly on the Kelly side since my grandmother was Mary Ann Kelly and probably the sister of Catherine Kelly and maybe also Martha Kelly???

You must be Max's daughter. I don't think I ever met you but I knew alittle bit about you from Aunt Alta. I am in the middle of trying to get more information from my mother Darlene Leonard Weckesser about the Byrn family. Just as soon as I get that info from my mother I will forward it on to you. I am sorry I haven't gotten back to you before now but I got 23 of those nasty virus's that were going around throught the internet, my son came home from college and helped me get my computer all straightened up. Does your dad and you live in Waterloo? The last I knew that is where he was living. Hopefully, I will get back to you after Christmas when I will get my mom to tell me more about the Byrn's. O.K? I'll be looking forward to talking with you later. Tell your dad I said Hi! Just me, Carla Weckesser Scheidecker
