Gen.Manuel Cabal, whom i never met in person, but just heard of him from my parents, was former Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines who retired in the 1950s in his cow ranch in Pampanga, and a great(grand)uncle....am joyce too. my father, also a soldier, with Philippine Constabulary in Naga City, Vivencio Sr.(may he rest in peace),with great hindsight named me after Joyce Kilmer, a soldier who wrote the poem Trees "....poems are made by fools like me but only God can make a tree....". am looking for my younger sister, Rosalinda whom we lost in the 1960s while we were kids....she sang in a few radio singing contests....

Dear Lawrence WOW small world...I've spoken to Geronimo Cabal a while back, I also got in touch with his sister auerlia who resides in Canada. but haven't heard from either one in a while. My uncle Sixto and family I try to see every time I go back to Hawaii. My grandma Louis (sixto's bro) passed away when I was a child so I don't have much on him. anyway my father visited Batanes a few years ago with uncle sixto and his family, and finally got to meet his dad's only sister. hopefully you get this...if you like to keep in touch please email me at jecabal78@gmail.com.

In the navy? My grandmother, Pauline Cabal, mentioned to me once about a few relatives of hers that were all part of the Filipino navy. I, my mother, my father, and my grandparents were all born in the philippines, but my dad, Emmanuel Cabal, emigrated to Simi Valley, California. Marie Joyce Cabal (my mom) and I finally got our VISAs in the year 2000, and we moved in with him.

Geronimo Cabal and Sixto Cabal are cousins. Both were born in the Batanes, Philippines and migrated to the US. Geronimo Cabal is now based in California. Geronimo cabal's sister is Luisa Cabal Luang, who is my grandmother. She died already. My name is Lawrence V. Luang, I'm based in the Philippines. But my parents, Eduardo Cabal Luang and Floria Valientes Luang, are now based in the US (San Leandro, California)

Hello, my name is Lisa Gouge. Gary Cabalda was my Uncle.
He divorced from his first wife, whom I do believe is Flora, and re-married my Aunt Beverly. I do know he had a daughter named Carlita.
Unfortunately Gary died in a plane crash in 1980.
We do have some pictures of Carlita, but they are from around 1974-75.
I spoke to my father, and he says he has spoken to my Aunt about Carlita, and all she knows is that Carlita is still in Honolulu. However that was some time ago.

I am trying to locate others who are researching the family of Mona Jean (ANDERSON) CABLE. She was born 06 Apr 1921 in Duncan, OK, lived in Lawton & Oklahoma City, OK, and attended Cameron University. She died 24 Oct 1975 - Services were held 27 Oct at Bill Merritt Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, OK and burial was at Highland Cemetary. Mona's mother is Irene Leigh (WITT?) ANDERSON, born 06 Nov 1902 in Indian Territory, OK, died 21 Dec 1976 in Warrenton, Warren, NC. Irene was buried in Highland Cemetary, Lawton, OK on 27 Dec, 1976. I don't know who Mona's father is or if she had any siblings. I have one photo of her in a wheelchair and a nephew of hers, Tom CABLE, is kneeling next to her. The photo says that Mona is Jewell's niece (Jewell is Irene's sister, Mona's mother). Any info on this family would be very helpful. Thanks for listening - Please e-mail me at Gaslight02@aol.com.
