Just happened to come across your post. I too would like to find some info on this subject. I have heard the stories like yourself of 3 brothers that came from Spain and settled in different areas. My grandfather, and my father (and that's as far as I can go back) is a Caballeros, but from Guatemala, C.A. I do not doubt that all the people that have contacted you have some branch of the family tree in their past. Good luck with your search.

hey..dont know if im related to you. Im from alamo, tx currently live in waco. my grandparents come from reynosa tamaulipas. my grandfather died i nver got to meet him or anything. his name was jose maria caballero, and so is my dads. i have a couple of uncles here in the rio grand valley. but most of them are from mexico. what is your grandparents name?

my dads name is jose maria caballero from reynosa tamaulipas, Mexico...his dad was also jose maria, but i never met him. he died when my dad was a teenager. right now my dad is 45. i have an aunt named magdalena and mario, jose luis, ramiro,raul caballero...dont know if we might be related.

My family are Caballero from Cimarron, New Mexico. My Great-Great-Grandfather's name is Pablo Caballero, and my Great-Great-Grandmother's name was Lucinda Henry. They had eight children my Great-Grandmother Adelina Caballero was the oldest.

My mothers' firtst name is Melody, and her seocond name is Delane. My sisters' name is Helen. I have not seen a Caballero since the 80s, so I am very exited to get to know this side of my family. I actually intend to change my name to Caballero, because my Dad always encouraged pride in our Spanish heritage. Also my grandfathers' name was Jose, but I always called him Papalon. We lived together in El Paso,TX, and then moved to Farmington,NM where things started to fall apart.

Hi Patricia, my name is Patricia. My grandfather was Luz Caballero,from Mexico (don't know where). I am trying to find out if he had brothers or sisters. He and his family lived in San Antonio. In the census, his mother's name was Lina. His wife was Mannie and in a later census it said his wife was Nellie. Odd thing is the only thing i remember about my grandfather is that his eyes were blue. I only remember seeing him once when i was a child. They had 4 daughters(my mom was Carlota)and 3 sons.We think they came to TX in 1903.He was born in 1888.anytime pcauthen@charter.net

hello I have a tip Daniel Gonzales is listed as having a father Luz Caballero born about 1880 died on 25 Nov 1936 and is listed as being buried at the same cemetery as your grandfather, I think he was a brother. The only difference is that for mother it has Concepcion Gonzales and Luz(Lina Gonzales) but as I have seen doing my own research they switch back and forth with middle names. Hope I helped.

The Illusive Maria del Rayo Caballero of Chihuahua.

She was reported born in 1766 in Valle de Allende, Chihuahua, and on January 17, 1793 in Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua.
But I’ve verified her birth at November 5, 1761 in Parral.

I see a marriage for her on January 11, 1786 in Parral to Francisco Xavier Chaves. Yet, she had children with my direct ancestor, Ygnacio Rodriguez Armendariz, before and well after this previous marriage.

Births starting as early as that of Maria Dolores Rodriguez on September 20, 1780, and including Joseph Antonio Juan Nepomuseno Tobirio Rodriguez on July 18, 1786, the year of her marriage to the other man.

After Ygnacio Rodriguez Armendaris died of fever, Maria del Rayo Caballero married Jose Maria Jurado on August 4,1818, having children with him well into the next decade. Giving birth in October 1823 two days apart to a child as her daughter gave birth to her grandchild!

I would be very interested in anyone also researching Maria del Rayo Caballero. Perhaps we can compare notes, and piece together more of her life.

I know a great deal, but I would like to know her entire story.
I know her recipes survive in her own hand. Also her personal, and business correspondence.

I even know the name of one of the African slaves who lived in her ranch household, and how her brother served in the Spanish military.

I even found a possible fourth marriage for her:
Maria del Rayo Caballero married Cornelio Chaves on September 15, 1835 in Cusihuiriachic, Chihuahua.

My parents are from Michoacan Mexico. My dad's name is Luis Caballero. I believe he was born in 1943.and he was well off, but my grandfather died when my dad was 12 years old. and his uncles took everything. so i know nothing outside my dad and his brothers and sister. we all live in California, but i do have a tia that lives in Morelia. All i was told is that our familey came from spain/france!

I am looking for descendents of Pete Caballero and Elsie Daniels from San Bernardino, CA. They had three children that I know of, Rosita, born 1927, and Diego and Theresa, twins, born 1929. patricia, what is your grandfahter's name and his brother and when, where was he born. My father lived in texas nuevo laredo and laredo and later moved to california. my father had brothers and one sister. anyhow, can you be more specific as it relates to names and dates. did your grandfather have a brother name arnulfo, and a brother name pedro and were they from nuevo leon originally, cerralvo perhaps.......???? i need more info thanks. r.caballero.

My great grandfather came to Mexico from Borja, Zaragoza, Spain, around 1900. His name was Fidel Martínez VILLUENDAS. They arrived together to CUba on time to participate in the Spanish American war. Fidel came to Mexico, and his brother to Central America.
