Hello Carlos:
My name is Lucy (Lucita) Rivera-Burns Flynn born in NYC but now in NJ. My mother's family is from Moca. I have the name Caban in my family. My mother's grandmother was Reimunda Perez y Caban, born 1879, died 1929 in Moca. Her parents were Salustiano Perez y Perez, b. 1839, d. about 1930/31 in Moca and Juana Evangelista Caban y Lopez, b. about 1860 abd d. before 1910 (never found her death record) in Moca. Juana's father was Jose Maria Caban Gonzalez, b. 1789 and d. 1904 - that's right - he was 106 years old and his race was lised as Indio (Indian - Taino). I hope you are related to these Cabans somehow.... I have a whole genealogy in a database that I can share. Who are you related to in Moca? What are the other surnames in your family?
Lucita
