bcsnyder...Have we met before and do you live in Tuscaloosa/Northport? Who passed along the info about JC Cabaniss to you? Was it your granddad or someone else? Or are you referring to what Professor Allen Cabaniss wrote in his Genealogy book? I have been trying to solve this mystery since I retired from the Air Force 13 years ago. I have not been able to verify who Marion and his two brothers parents were. Did Catherine Mayfield Cabaniss, Peter Randolph's widow, adopt or take these children in? Or did JC actually marry Catherine and subsequently leave her with their kids? Do you have anything that could lead us to the answer?
