Those people who post on this forum claiming that John Cabaniss, son of Matthew Cabaniss, who ended up in Kentucky had a wife named Minerva Hicks or Minena Hicks are partly correct. A Minerva Hicks did marry a John Cabaniss but both he and she died in 1822 in Virginia and were never in Kentucky nor was this John a son of Matthew.They are buried in Bothwell Cemetery in Dinwiddie County
