John and I have researched the Cabbage/Cabage family for a long time. We have been up and down the Shenandoah Valley, VA and Chester County, PA looking for the parents of John and Adam (Rev War Soldiers). We have found no proof of parentage. We have pictures of a "song and prayer book" that is written in German. Written on one of the flyleafs is "Heinrich Cabbage, this is my book." The date written looks like 1774. There are also written what looks like henrich kabes dated 1783 and family kabnes 1782. In this book in different handwriting are all of Adam's children and the dates of their births. Adam's will also lists the same children. We have speculated as to who John's children are and have a reasonable list, but have no concrete proof except for Pheobe Yadon was a daughter where he died. I think we are going to try and go to Northampton County, PA in September to actually see if there is any proof to the allegations that Henrich was John and Adam's father.
