Jan,
I would be interested in what you have on Joseph and Rachell Mann Cabell.
My husband is descended from Joseph and Pocahontas Rebecca Bolling, first wife of Joseph.
He married the third time to Anne Everard Bolling.
I have the children of Pocahontas Rebecca and Anne but not of Rachell.
I found my information from the internet then bought the book "The Cabell's and Their Kin". Where I backed up a lot of my information.
Joseph was the son of Joseph Cabell Sr. and Mary Hopkins, and the grandson of William Cabell (the immigrant) and Elizabeth Burks the daughter of Samuel and Mary Davis Burks. Both of them were born in Virginia and the "legend" is that Mary Davis' mother (Mary Elizabeth Hughes) was the daughter of a "Trader" Hughes and Nikitte. Nikitte was the 'cousin' of Pocahontas. I have that info too which I got off the internet and Alexander Brown, the author of the book says it is family history and could not be "proven".
There wasn't much written down by the Native Americans in the early 1600's it was all oral history and what we do have was written by the colonist.
The name Breckenridge inters the Cabell family in 1785 where John Breckenridge marries Mary Hopkins Cabell, daughter of Joseph Cabell Sr. and Mary Hopkins.
John and Mary Cabell Breckenridge had 9 children. They named their sons very patriotic names. John Jr., Joseph Cabell, Robert H., Robert Jefferson, William Lewis, and James Monroe. The daughters were named: Letitia, Mary H.,(died as an infant) and Mary Ann,
