APOLLIS CABLE, 84, OF DAWSON, IS DEAD; FUNERAL THURSDAY
Apollis CABLE, 84 years old, died at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at his home at DAWSON following an illness of several months from complications.
Mr. Cable was born in Somerset County on March 26, 1849, the son of John N. and Margaret CABLE. His wife, Mrs. Amelia Sproat CABLE, survives together with four sons and one daughter: Mrs. Amelia Ansell, Hulltown, near Dawson; Theodore CABLE, Connellsville; Phoelix CABLE, Vanderbilt, and William CABLE and Harrison CABLE, of East DAWSON.
The body will be removed to the home of William CABLE by Funeral Director Frank B. Galley of Vanderbilt where the funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock with Rev. William F. Seitter, pastor of Philip G. Cochran Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church of DAWSON, officiating. Interment will be made in Cochran Cemetery.
Mr. Cable had been a resident of the Tri-Town Community for the last 50 years. A plasterer by trade, Mr. Cable in his later years was an employee of the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad Company at Dickerson Run.
