Hello, I am looking foir any information pertaining to Master Technical Sergeant Manuel Cabral Mello, Jr. who served in the US Marine Corps during World War II from 1942-1946. I am interested in his military career as well as any personal anecdotes that can be provided. Thank you!

Trying to locate any information about Leonore A. Cabral who immigrated to the U.S. in 1909 from Santa Maria, Azores and arrived in Boston on October 18, 1909. She would have joined her sister and brother-in-law, Maria & Manuel Almeida. According to the ship's records Maria & Manuel lived in New Bedford, MA at the time. Leonore's date of birth is 12/19/1884. We have no idea if she married or what became of her. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

hi donna, your mom (my aunt) passed away in 2006. i hope you were able to find her before then. your half brother merle j irwin jr moved back to hawaii many many years ago. as far as i know, your mom had you, dwight jr, robert, merle, william, gerald, shirley mae and charles. i tried emailing you at the email you posted but it came back mail delivery error. i hope you get this email. let me know if there's anything else i can fill you in on as far as the cabral side of our family.

I forgot look at the post above yours. The name was Cabral de Mello. So immigration might have decided just to call them Mello becasue they thought that was the surname.

One possibility is that the immigration folks could not understand or read what was written. You can google that question and get more info.

Hi,
My name is Linda Cabral and my husband is Mike Cabral. His grandfather is Carroll Cabral. He was born around 1911. I think he was born in Portugal. Carroll in the 1930's played on the San Francisco Seals Baseball team. He didn't play long but he played with Joe Demagio. I've been trying to find a team picture for my husband and Carroll's son which is my father-in-law. I thought it would be a a really cool gift. I'm pretty sure we are talking about the same Carroll Cabral. So, if this is the same person we are talking about Carroll in my husband's grandfather. Hope to hear from you soon.

Looking for some information on Cabral family of Watsonville, Calif. Manuel came from the Azores, i don't know of what island. He lived in Watsonville, in the 1890
tthrough the 1930's in Watsonville. He had a wife Mary in the 1930's census, and a daughter Frances , who was born in 1897. I would likje to find information on the census years of 1900/10/20/30 if poosible. Any information would be great.

I am researching the CABRAL name from Arrifes??, Sao Miguel. My grandmother was Irmalinda CABRal. She was the daughter of Joseph Peter CABRAL. She had at least one brother. She emigrated to the Fall River/New Bedford , MA prior to 1908. At some point prior to 1908, she married Alfred BARBOZA, from Brava, Cape Verde. I realize that there are BARBOZA names on Sao Miguel, but I have not been able to make any connection. It has been a few yeaRS since I have done any new research and would apprediate ANY information. domingo cabral nacio cerca de 1881 y se fue a los estados unidos y se perdio jamas no regreso.

lucia de la torre cayo viuda y se caso de segunda vez con un hombre de apellido rodriquez y tubieron 4 hijos---david, quirino, chole, timoteo. todos de la laguna grande zac.

Mis abuelo materno se llamaba Cayetano Torres y era de Laguna de Sanchez pero vivio casi toda su vida en El Cercado NL. Mi abuela era Maria de Jesus Vega de El Cercado.
