Seeking kin of Cacciatore family from San Biagio Plantani, Agrigento Province, Sicily. My paternal grandmother, Rosalia Cacciatore was born in 1877 to Gaspare and Francesca Messina Cacciatore. She married my grandfather Raffaele LaRosa in 1900 and they brought their young family to America in 1909. They apparently lived in Chicago for a while, before going to work the mines in Trinidad, Colorado until 1920 something. They settled in Chicago in the Italian area of 26th and Wallace Streets. I know that a relative of Rosalia's, Elvira Cacciatore, married Victor Calderone and lived in Albion, Michigan. My father, Gaspare Joseph LaRosa, settled in Jackson, MI, and visited his "cousins" in Albion. I'm trying to establish this relationship as well as any other Cacciatores from the San Biagio Platani area. When we visited Sicily, we were told that the Cacciatores came from Catania, yet I found Rosalia's birth certificate in S. Biagio. Any information would be appreciated.
