I've just come across this site, and hope that some of you might be able to tell me what our surname means, and how it originated. So far I know that my family line originates in Hackney, London going back to the early 1900's. I haven't really started looking back, but maybe this means something to any of you? I'd be grateful if any of you had any info on the family name.
