Happy New Year!

I've recently been on a fun side-track investigating emigrants from Tingewick, Buckinghamsire, England to the "Tri-Counties" in the U.S.: Tioga and Bradford Counties in Pennsylvania and Chemung County in New York.

My collateral lines regarding this are HOLTON, PETTY, and CADD.

I've found some information through this research to post here.
Eliza Ann CADD Holton
Daughter of Edmund CADD and Emma HOLTON
Baptised 27 Dec 1863 in Tingewick, BKM, Eng.

(per "People of Tingewick, Buckinghamshire" web site,

Per the 1900 US Federal Census, Pennsylvania, Tioga County, Enumeration District 151 (June 16 & 18, 1900):

Eliza reports that she emigrated to the US in 1883 and had been in the US for 17 years.

She is on the census with her husband Alford HOLTON (who is a first cousin). She is 36 years old, reporting that she was born Aug 1862 and has been married for 15 years. She reports that she is the mother of zero children.
Per the 1910 Penn. Miracode Census for Tioga Co., PA,: (via

Eliza Ann CADD Holton is 46, living with her husband Alford and one-non relative --- no children living with them.
Burial (per Tri-Counties Genealogy & History
by Joyce M. Tice web site:

"Eliza Cadd 1863 1953 Wife of Alford, born in Cawcott [sic], England"

Jobs Corners Cemetery

I'm still trying to track down what happened to her parents, Edmund Cadd and Emma Holton Cadd.
