My grandmother was Irene Alice Matilda(Mathilda?)Cadmus. I have living relatives in Minnesota, however, we do not communicate, would like to know more about this side of my family. Where the name came from, just anything you would be willing to share. I do not know her parents names. But she had a few siblings, Hazel being one that I know for sure. Irene met my grandfather(Ira L."Bill" Giles) while visiting relatives in California and married him shortly after in San Francisco. She then returned to Minnesota homestead until his discharge from Army. He was from Amarillo, Texas and that is where they settled. Her father passed in the late 40's as mentioned in my grandfather's unfinished journal, and they went "home" for the funeral.
