I have not done any work on the Cadwaladers in my family but did inherit some information and for some reason, today, I went to this message board. On it I found where you told about the names from Wales which I did not know. I have as
my ancestor John Cadwalader, born 1676 in Wales. Married Mary Cassell 1701 in PA. Says "came from Wales to PA in 1697. Minister of "Society of Friends" (Quaker) in America and Europe. Took sick and died on voyage to Tortuga West Indies." This was in 1742.She had died in 1722.
His son Joseph was born 16 Nov 1717 Chester Co PA. He married Mary Williams 1739, she born 1719.
Their son John born 10 Mar 1750 Married 1771? in Chester Co PA to Sarah Negus.
Their daughter, Mary Cadwalader, b. 26 Jan 1773, married Elias Brewer 29 Sep 1790 at Horsham PA.
'Their daughter Ann Brewer, b. 18 Aug 1802, Redstone, PA, married Ebenezer Darling Keach, b. 09 Apr 1798, Sussex Co DE. They were married 03 Apr 1823. He died 14 Dec 1863 in McDonough Co IL. She died 23 Sept 1872, McDonough Co IL
Their daughter, Eliza Ann Keach, b. 27 Jan 1833 Tuscarawas Co OH, married my great grandfather Henry Smith Leighty. He was born 08 Jul 1825 in Fayette Co PA. They married 16 Mar 1854 in McDonough Co IL. He died 12 Jun 1917 in McDonough Co IL. She died 24 Jan 1908 in McDonough Co IL

Does this jibe with your family? I show that the first John had Sarah, John, Aberham (sic), Jane, Issac(sic), Mary, Jacob, Martha, and Joseph.

Then Joseph had Reese, Affinity, Isaac, Joseph, John, and Septimus. All were born in Gwynedd, Montgomery Co PA
