Am looking for any information re: Garnet and Elmer Cadwallader. Garnet gave birth to my mother in 1924(?)but Garnet died on apr 11, 1925. Elmer brought my mother to Merl and Edith Macy's house and never returned. My mother was later adopted by the Macy family at age 18. Her name became Lorraine Delmar Macy. Any one with any information about this situation please respond. All involved are now deceased.

Looking to identify my ancestor Ann Cadwallader of Philadelphia area. She was born in Wales in 1685, and died in 1701 at Age: 41 in Gwynedd, Montgomery, Pennsylvania.

I am Gillian, Norma's grand-daughter. Norma passed away in 1991. She was married to William Harry Warden. My maiden name is Warden.
My grandma's father was Edward Cadwallader-my great grandfather. I think he died the year I was born. I do believe Edward and Charles were brothers. That would definitely make us related. They and another brother started the Lincoln Fur and Hide Company.
My grandmother told me of Fur and Hide company. The three brothers started the Lincoln Fur and Hide that eventually became the Cadwallader Fur and Hide.
I remember a fur muff (for your hands) my grandmother gave me for Christmas one year. I am not sure the Fur and Hide was still around when I was born, but I do remember that fur muff. I really liked it.
One of Norma's daughters (my aunt), was named Margarette or Margarite. It was shortened to Meg, so she is my aunt Meg.
My father's middle name is Edward, and I have a brother with the same middle name.
The Cadwallader history is pretty cool.

Hi Norma,
My great grandfather was Charles Cadwallader, my grandma was his daughter Marguerite Emma who married Archabald Jackson (Jack) Weaver from Falls City NE. My dad Arch Jr, who told me that great grandpa owned Cadwallader Fur Company.

I was looking at some history in Liclon NE, "Tale of Two Buildings" William & Charles Cadwallader of Lincoln Hide & Fur Company had moved into in the 1920's.

Considering Cadwallader is an unusual name, do you think we may be related?

Hi, I realise this is an old post and so no one may pick it up however, I believe I am descended from Edward Cadwallader, John’s grandson. If anyone has any information on the Cadwalladers from Hope Bowdler it would be greatly appreciated.

I have traced the family back to Hope Bowdler and I am hoping to get more information on the family, anyone found any kings yet?

I understand that Gwendolyn Cadwallader is the daughter of John Cadwallader and Sarah Roberts/Robertson.

My dates for Gwendolyn are: born 1668 died 1734 (married Robert Williams on April 19, 1691) and for her father John as: born 1662 died Oct. 26, 1742 (Married Sarah Roberts/Robertson in 1667). Somewhere I got crosswise as John would have only been 6 when Gwendolyn was born.

Did I pick up the incorrect Gwendolyn or John or just get the dates crosswise? Any feedback is welcome as I am stumped.

My great grandmother was also Elizabeth Cadwallader, from Tettenhall. Staffordshire, England.Her father was Wm. Henry Cadwallader. I have Elizabeth's siblings as Mary Ann b. 1830, Elizabeth (Betsey) b. 1831, Wm. Henry b. 1832, John b. 1835 and Thomas b. 1838. I am looking for their mother. There is a question as to whether they all had the same mother. Possiby an Esther, or Sarah (Robinson?)

Rachel Boblett was born in Pennsylvania, Deutch, fathered by Abraham Boblitz. She had 9 or 10 siblings, one of whom was named Noah. The headstones at Boblet's Gap were stolen. There is a rock quarry at Buchannan. I would like to get a 4 ton stone and sit on the site, however I cannot remember the names buried there. The 7 Years War is one of the reasons we are here in the US. It looks like history is repeating itself. Don't know any Cadwallader's, sorry. M. Boblett

Does anyone have any info on Presley Cadwallader from Stewartsville, VA, and his family. He was my 2nd grandfather. His son was William Edward Cadd from Boutetourt County, VA. William Edward Cadd and Elsie Dewey Boblett were my mother's parents.

I can't find anything except his Civil War records. One of those stated he was a deserter which I hate to hear but things you may not want to know comes to light when you are working on a family tree. Any info would be appreciated. Barbara Kinley

Hi.
I do not know yet if we have the same John Wallett and Jane Boden. It would be most unlikely not to be, given the names are the same. I got my information from the Canning Nov 2008 Family tree on Ancestry.com.
It is compiled by John Canning who is a relative of mine and lives up Koumala near Mackay.I believe he might have got the information from Wilf Brazier who lived in England and did lots of research.
Anyway, I am believed to have descended from a son of John Wallett named John who is listed as being born in 1771. I do not know where he was born. I wonder if it is the same as your John, but with the date needing correcting?
The children listed for John Wallet and Jane Boden who were married 22 May 1761 are
Mary 1762,
Ann 1763
Elizabeth 1769
John 1771
Jane 1773
Thomas 1776
William 1779
Do you think there is any chance they might be the same family as yours?

I am descended from a son of John Wallett b1740, my 5xgrgrfather. He is John b1776, married Mary Harris, then their son Thomas b1792, marr Ann Reeves and went to Staffordshire with son Thomas b.1819 Madeley. This Thomas marr Mary Jones in 1845, Coseley and their son John Wallett born 1854 in Bilston, married Elizabeth Conway and came to NZ in 1892.
I have 8 children for John and Jane. Which one is your line?

Ezra and Melvina were married in Fulton County, Illinois 19 May, 1841. You may want to check the 1840 and 1850 census of Fulton County for any clues. Ezra and Melvina are on the 1850 census of Fulton County, Illinois and the 1860 and 1870 census of McDonough County, Illinois.

My grandparents were Elizabeth and supposedly Reece Lewis of Cabin Creek WV. My father Norman, never knew Reece and was told by Elizabeth that Reece was not his father despite his name being on his birth certificate. I am trying to find out more about Reece to determine if he is my grandfather. Any info would help and nice to know that i have some family out there!

I have a Ruth Evelyn Cadd (Caddwallender) her father was Alonzo Clay Cadd (Cadwallender) and his wife was Maggie L (sur name unknown) the children of maggie and alonzo are Ruth evelyn cadd and vesta jean cadd (Ruth was my grand mother)Ruth was married to Charles Aldredge and had 3 children. My G.Grandmother was Sarah Cadwallader daughter of Benjamin B.1841 Bettws y Crywn and Sarah Lewis b.1847 Berriew.

I,m currently researching the family line. I have lots of photos. Maybe our ancesry overlaps.

Sarah married John Trickett of Wrenbury in 1908.
