Family legend has it that my grandfather's father, Antonio Cafiero immigrated to the US in the mid 1800s and was from Meta di Sorrento. My grandfather had brothers, a "Chick" Cafiero and twin brothers, and a sister, Philomena Cafiero. They all lived in Brooklyn, NY. Antonio Cafiero was married to Fortunata Verniero, who eventually became blind. If this sounds familiar to anyone, let me know.
