Good morning! I don't know if you are still looking for info after all these years, and maybe you have already found this out, but there is a Rufus Cage elementary school in Houston. There was a man named Rufus Cage who was born in the 1880s and died in the 1960s who was a prominant Houstonian in the early part of the 20th century. How I found out about him was that I was researching a building in Harrisburg (a neighborhood of Houston) that had his name printed above the front door. It was an old school house. There is an attempt to have it named an historical site.
