My grandmother was Jane Cagney born circa 1913 in the Bronx, NY. Her father Michael Joseph Cagney was born in Limerick and immigrated to the US via Ellis Island early 1900's. He had a sister named Ellen Teresa Cagney. I am looking for my ancestors in Limerick. After immigrating to the US he became a NYC police officer and married Annie Gilroy around 1912. He died in NY about 1926. She is from Leitrim. He fathered five children. I am looking for any information relating to the Cagney family from Limerick. His father may have owned horses in Limerick.
