Family legend is that our branch of the Cairo family originated in the Milan/Belzano area. Some of the Cairo's went south and ended up in Calabria. Therefor it seems probably that any and all of the Cairo's in Italy might ultimately be related, but I have no specific information other than about the Cairo's from the Calabria area. Incidentally, my parents went to Italy a few years ago to visit the town where my grandparents came from. There were, in fact, no Cairo's living in that town at all. Seems they all either left Italy, or moved north to parts unknown.
