My gggGrandmother ANNE CAKE was born in 1813. Unfortunately the town she noted as her place of birth doesn't seem to exist! It read WALLAY, LINCS. This may be Whallay in Lancashire, Walesby in Lincolnshire - we just don't know! She married JAMES TULLOCK in HULL circa 1836.
Any ideas or possible connections would be most welcome as needless to say we have hit a massive brick wall!
