Thomas Forrester was my great great granddad. He married Jean (or Jane) Calder on NOv. 27, 1830 in Fintry. Jean was born abt. 1830 and was 11 yrs old in the 1841 Scottish census in Lanarkshire Scotland. Thomas and his family emigrated to Canada in the late 1850's. Their daughter Janet married John Mitchell on Dec. 15, 1859. Thomas is listed as a widower in the 1871 census in Vaughan West York, while the family resided in North Bruce. I can find no record of her death in either the Scottish or Ontario records. I have much more info on the Forrester side.
