Caldwell's in Haywood County, NC

Surnames: Caldwell, Messer, Cagle
I am researching the caldwell side of my family. My great grandfather was John Caldwell b.1872 in haywood county and died in 1960 in Haywood co. His first wife was Margaret Messer and his second wife was Julia Cagle b. 1911. There are alot of caldwell's in that area and I have hit a dead end. Any help would be appreciated.
