I believe I had contact with you some time ago but when you contacted me about this MARY CALDWELL being married to a WALDROP/WALTRIP, I did not know that the MARY CALDWELL, a Sister to ANDREW CALDWELL, was one and the same. She had a 2nd marriage to MOSES A. SCOTT, JR. and returned to Lee County, VA, lived out her life - had 3 children born in Adair Co., KY, Columbia, lived in Dryden, and is buried there. ANDREW CALDWELL, who is my ancestor, served as the Executor/appraiser of the Estate of her first husband, JAMES, who I believe died in 1818. She left to go take care of her parents, WILLIAM and REBECKAK/REBECCA (maiden name unknown) who went to Columbia, KY in 1812, think expected to return but never did. He died in 1825, she we think about 1827/28. MOSES and MARY/POLLY returned in 1828 and show on the Lee County Census done by ANDREW. Hope this helps you. Yes, MARY CALDWELL WALDRIP/WALDROP SCOTT
