Most of my information came from a book by J. R. Cole "History of Preston County," published by The Journal Publishing CO., in 1914. Henry's son Levi was the principal writer. I have been trying to buy the book, but can't find it. I a co-worker who got it on loan from the LDS Church.
George and Rachel had 13 children, I an still trying to find out about all those families and I think most of them lived in KS not to far from me. After Rachel died, George married another lady and had one more child (Flora). My father-in-law who died in 1995 at the age of 95 remembered the see and when she visited his father, but that was about all. At least four of George & Rachel sons were in the Civil War, and maybe it was five.
If you can get the book "History of Jefferson Co, KS, by J. R. Cole, there is a history on James May, this is my husbands line.
