I have a Thomas Ernest Calico in my family. He was born Jan. 19, 1922 in Washington Co., Arkansas. He married Leaster PILCHER in Scraper, Oklahoma. They had one child: Thomas Leo Calico. Born and died April 23, 1939 in Flint, Oklahoma.

This is where our family begins:

James Callicot was born 1780-85 in Prince Edward Co., Virginia. The son of Beverly and Priscilla Callicott. Beverly was the son of James and Agatha Callicot. James was also known by his descendants as James Calico or James Callico.

James Callicot married Elizabeth Vaughn and they had four children: Priscilla, Beverly, Violet and John Calvin Calico.

John Calvin and Elizabeth (Means) Calico had eleven children: James Monroe, Josiah Means Calico, Sr., Violet Louisa, John Calvin Calico, IV (my great grandfather), Thomas Coleman, Mary Ann (Polly), Isaac O., Henry Montgomery, Ulman Carr, William Littleton and George Washington Calico

Thomas Coleman Calico. Born May 1849. He married Mary A. Lane ca. 1875 in Ark., the daughter of Rial and Mary Lane. They had eight to ten children --conflicting stories. John Calvin, William Ryal, Mary E., Sarah L., Violet L., and Thomas Washington Calico.

Thomas Washington Calico. Born August 31, 1885 in Madison Co., Arkansas. Died October 24, 1918 and is buried in Vale Cemetery, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Thomas worked in Phipps Hardwood Mill. He married Stella Launia WILLIAMS on February 10, 1907 in Washington Co., Ark. Stella, born Sept. 5, 1890, died July 28, 1971 in Folsom, CA. She was the dauther of John C. and Sarah Williams. She is buried in Lakeside Memorial Lawn, Elsom, CA. Thomas and Stella had three children: Robert Coleman, Thomas Ernest and Gertha Cleo Calico.

My name is Elizabeth Ann(Cann)Barr. My parents are James Milton Cann and Joye Lurellia Calico. My mothers parents were Theodore Roosevelt Calico and Elowe Knoles. She is the eldest of three daughters. My parents moved from Arkansas to Alaska in 1956 and I was born in 1959.
