I am trying to find out about my gggrandmothers life, after her first husband Sabra Richard Lucy died( before 1880 census) She later married John Callebs Feb 2, 1882 in Knox Co KY. Can not find a death certficate or date of death for her. If the Callebs of Knox Co is your line please contact me.

In 1850 Knox Co Ky census there is listed a John Callebs 34, Hannah 50, Nancy L. 14, Polly A. 12, Lawrence L. 10, Hannah E. 7.

I believe this is the same John Callebs that married my gggrandmother. Feb 23, 1882. She was 30,and a widow with a small son 6 years old, he was 60. He does not show up in the 1900 census. Could this be the same John Callebs you are looking for?

My father was John Solomon Callebs III. Although he is from English in McDowell County in West Virginia. I know that his namesake John Solomon Callebs II was a preacher in Kentucky. He was my fathers grandfather.
