Thanks for your reply. Now, I'm thoroughly confused. Annie & Elias J. Wood were my great grandparents, my grandmother's parents. My granny told me her mother's name was Annie Carrie Calley. She has it written in her family bible and in her personal bible. I have a 400 page volume of the history of Pike County, Arkansas published in 1995 and a picture is in that volume of her and my grandpa and she is listed as Annie Calley Wood. I have a picture of her that my grandmother wrote on the back of and she lists her name as Annie Carrie Calley. Is it possible that the person you talked to was mistaken. I've got pages and pages of family history written by my grandmother and she lists her mother over and over as a Calley. Maybe she and E.J. were distant cousins. See if you can find out some more info for me. I've neve heard of the name Holcomb in my family tree, and I've traced the Wood family back about 6 generations. Let me know what you find out.
