My g grandfather Michael Murphy married Honoria Callinan(1835-1902) at Cooraclare in 1857. Her father was Edmond Callinan(1794-1878) of Drumellihy. In the 1901 census Edmond's son Charles was residing in Drumellihy beside his son Patrick and family. In the Kilmacduane graveyard(see transcriptions on Clare Lib website) Edmond and son Charles erected a memorial to Edmond's wife Bridget(1800-1868).
The civil death record reveals only two Edmond Callinan (adult) deaths between 1864 and the 1901 census viz Edmond Callinan(1782-1870) and Edmond(1794-1870). Until I view the actual record I have accepted the latter as the best fit to my Callinan family. Thomas Callinan of Dangananella was also closely related to this family.
