I have been looking for info on this Thomas Callinan, I know he was Married to a Mary Margaret (Maggie) McElligott and living in Chicago as of 1870. Born around 1838 in Ireland. This comes from The 1870 and 1880 census, and Mary's Obit and death cert from 1925

The trail has gone cold before 1863, except that I found a remote possibility that he emigrated through Boston 1846-1849 with an older Brother, Bart, and younger sister through family lore, that he emigrated as a child, and that he died in 1877, Probably in Chicago. I have nothing to trace him back to Ireland with that is concrete.

I think the great fire may have thwarted my search for his Obit or death cert..Cook County has nothing on him.

I was just fishing to see if anyone else out there was working on the Cicero/Chicago Callinans (they wound up in Warrenville) that might have found any info on him
