Callings(Collins) Agnes Ernest Alfred adoption of Dorothy Hazel Nelson

Earnest Alfred Calling and his wife Agnes of Gothenburg Nebr. adopted my mother Dorothy Norman and Hazel Norman who were orphaned in Detroit after thir Nebr. mother Dollie Nelosn died of flu 1920). I have had hints that mother and father might not have been Silas Norman-tx. or Dollie Nelson of Nebr. born 1894. If anyone knows anything please contact me(bfranzen3@gmail.com).Adoption papers show different birthdates-On one record Dollie says her mother from Canada-father Nebr.Dollie, Agnes, Ernest-all Swedish-Agnes and Ernest went to Canada the year mother was born. Other names of possible involvaement-Carl Carlson, Carl Anderson,Anna Sholund-(Sandstrum) Dorothy-Cole--Mother was in Kansas in 1912 as baby-orphaned in Detroit-returned to Nebr.

John & Honoria Calling, 1870s Manhattan, New York

Hello.
Anyone on this message board descended from this couple? In 1870 census John Calling was 55y, born Ireland and wife Honoria was 30y, born Ireland. They were in the 3rd ward, 4th election district of Manhattan, New York. Census shows they had many children. I'm just interested because Honoria Calling is shown to be a sponsor in the Nov 13, 1870 baptism of the brother of my great-grandmother Julia (Daly) Van Sicklen.
Wondering if Honoria's maiden name was Daly or Green.
Richard Emmanuel Calling ( also spelled Caling)

Hello. I'm trying to track down information about my mother's grandfather named Richard Emmanuel Calling (originally spelled Caling). He married Ellen Ewing Nelson and I'm pretty sure they both lived in Washington state. They had one daughter named Maymie. And I think that Ellen died around 1940-47.

I'm just in the very beginning stages of researching this line and hope to be able to add more soon. I was quite surprised not to see any other listings for this surname!

Many thanks for any information!
