Calnan family name

Hello, John. I am also interested in doing research
about the Calnan family name. My father is G. William Calnan originally of Wilmington, Mass.
His father was George Frederick Calnan. As far as I know, all the Calnans come from in or around Boston.
I have also discovered that the original Irish location of the family name was in County Galway and also in West Cork.
The name was originally O'Callanan in Ireland but was changed over time; My info. is that the Calnans were traditionally
doctors to the landed gentry in Ireland. My great-grandfather was reportedly a doctor.

Please e-mail me with any info. you may have. I can get you more, but I don't have it with me at the moment.

Thanks!
Kim Gray
