of Trafford,
died Saturday, July 23, 2011.
He was the father of Joe, Angela and Joy Caltagirone; brother of Joanna (Neil) Hunsberger; son of the late Joseph Sr. and Marion Caltagirone; also survived by three grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 until time of blessing service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the JAMES F. FILIA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 354 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding.

My grandmother name was Paulina Caltagirone, Born in Sicily, Italy in the late 18 hundreds. Later she arrived to live in Tampa, Florida with her parents that were Italian too. Later in the years my grandmother Paulina Caltagirone married Rafael Sarmiento born and raised in Spain. Later they had five children which one passed away at 5years old.
It was there first child and her name was Melina Sarmiento Caltagirone. Than after her death my grandmother had Rita than Frances than Violeta which were all born in Tampa, Floirda and 18 years later had my father Rafael SArmiento, Jr. Born in Cuba, Havana where later as an adult married my mom Blanca Menendez Sarmiento.

My father was born in Agrigento in 1900. He came to America in 1920 and lived in Brooklyn all of his life. He died in 1985. He had two brothers named Vincent and Joseph. They also had 4 sister. My fathers mother's family name was Lupo. Trying to reach anyone with information on the family history.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
