Looking for relatives, firends and obituary of 32 year old airman, Private Joseph A. Calvello from Brooklyn, NY. Died in a crash of a B-17 Flying Fortress that was on a training mission near Sioux City, Iowa on May 26, 1944.

Service number was 32410955. From 1930 Census learned he residended at # 76 Box Street. Father was Peter. Mother was Concetta. Place of burial was Long Island City in late May or early June of 1944.

Legion Post in small town near crash site will pay tribute and honor Private Calvello and nine other airmen who died in the crash. Large bronze plaque with names of fallen airmen will be dedicatitd and placed on the Legion Post at a ceremony on June 24. Want to inform relatives and friends that he is being honored. Looking for photo of Joseph in military uniform or any other type photo of him.

Thank you for any direction or help you may be able to offer.
