Christine - I have no record that James ever served in the Rev. War. He would have been a little too young, I think. But his father, James Calvin, Sr., did do milita duty. James Sr. was on the milita rolls for E. Nottingham Twp. Chester Co., PA in 1778 as a private and also in adjoining Lancaster Co., PA, he was a private in the 6th Co., 6th Battalion of the militia in 1780 and May of 1781 and 1782. I'm not related to this family. I just research all families surnamed Calvin and Colvin and have done so since 1988. Thanks for the correct spelling of Katherine's maiden name. Marilyn
