Hi, that was quite a breather you took after posting the original query. I had forgotten all about it.

You say your Cambridge hail from Scotland. I believe ours did too as our Daniel Cambridge of 1820 was the son of Archibald Cambridge who may have hailed from Greenock, Scotland.
More research needs to be done on that idea however.
