Hello Antony! Thanks for the origins of the Cames = Gloucestershire, and the CAME from South Wales who emigrated in the 19th century. I will try to do some research on that; but there is not much to go on. Do you have any information on the origins of Arthur and Violet Came;the founders of the USA family tree? According to Susan C. Conant, and Rufus McIntire; they may have come from Scotland "per force". They may have been exiled by Oliver Cromwell during the persecution of the Scots during his tenure. But, I am confused about this because the family geneology book states that the slave "Sharper" was buried in the garden under the apple tree that was brought over from England. That story is also written in a history of York County, ME. I appreciate your help in this research, Helen Came. P.S. What is your e-mail address? I cannot enter the one I've got now which is: http://www.familyhistory.com/rd.asp?id=2946944.
